A curated collection featuring eight custom-designed letterforms inspired by diverse typographic styles and historical influences.
The Typography I Type Specimen Catalog transforms the alphabet into a collection of visual identities. Featuring eight custom-designed letterforms inspired by diverse typographic traditions, the project examines how subtle changes in structure, weight, contrast, and ornamentation can dramatically alter the personality of a character.
Presented at an enlarged scale, each letter moves beyond its linguistic function to become a graphic composition in its own right. From historical influences to contemporary interpretations, the collection highlights the expressive range of typography and the craftsmanship embedded within letterform design. Together, the letters create a visual dialogue between tradition and experimentation, demonstrating how typography can communicate not only words, but also culture, emotion, and identity.
